Vertex reads a manufacturer's existing CAD archive and makes it answerable — find whether a part was drawn before, see which drawings disagree with the ERP or point at superseded sheets, generate a verified variant or a 3D model from a 2D drawing. It's for mid-market manufacturers with 5,000–50,000 legacy drawings and no PDM, where the archive is the institutional memory and nobody can query it.
